N-scale F7A and F7B Diesel Locomotives from InterMountain Railway Co.
A new group of F7A and F7B diesel locomotive models has arrived in N scale from InterMountain Railway Co. This release includes matching paint schemes for A- and B-units (sold separately) in road names: Alaska Railroad, Great Northern, Missouri-Kansas-Texas, Nacionales de Mexico, Union Pacific, and Western Maryland (Circus scheme). InterMountain’s F-unit models come fully assembled and include separate wire grab irons, etched-metal side grilles (with variation in the design to match prototype use), depending on the road name these 1:160 locomotives feature single- or dual-headlights, and inclusion of dynamic brake fan, winterization hatches, steam generator, and more. InterMountain states this release includes an all-new drive mechanism with revised knuckle coupler mounting system located on the die-cast metal chassis. LED lighting is a new feature for this run and includes illumination of headlights, number boards, and rear light.
The DC version retails for $169.95, DCC-silent editions (equipped with ESU LokPilot 5) list for $219.95, and the suggested retail price for DCC-sound (equipped with LokSound 5) models is $279.95.
