Product Announcement: HO & N Trinity Rib-Side Hopper from InterMountain Railway Co.
InterMountain Railway Co. announces a new addition to its freight car line in HO and N scales. This new offering will reproduce Trinity’s three-bay covered hopper prototype. Based on Pullman-Standard’s popular design introduced to North American railroading in the 1960s, this rib-side hopper is a newer version (produced by Trinity following the departure of Pullman-Standard from the industry in the early 1980s). This new plastic hopper car model will come with etched-metal roofwalks, knuckle couplers, and InterMountain’s own smooth-running metal wheels. The road names in the first production will include Agri-Industries, CSX, Farmland Co-Op, ITEL Leasing, Reading & Northern, and Rio Grande. Reservation close September 30, 2023, for this first release, which will offer six road numbers per road name. The HO Trinity rib-side hopper lists for $46.95, while the N-scale model retails for $38.95.
