Walthers plans a winter 2024 delivery for its new National Steel Car articulated three-unit well car model. This ready-to-run release will duplicate prototypes in service since 2012 and will be made with a die-cast metal body with separately applied side ladders, detailed brake rigging with air lines, metal Proto MAX couplers, and a combination of 33- and 36-inch metal wheels (as per the prototype). The first run will offer BNSF, Canadian National, and two Trailer Train styles; each these releases sells for $99.98. An undecorated three-unit set will be available for $94.98.
